A life of pure bliss and cheerfulness

knowing everything was being handed down,

parents with beautiful skin looking ageless,

their name mentioned in the talk of the town

every girl’s desire to stay in the know:

jealous words spewing behind each others backs

scared to be the one to fight the blow,

it seems as though that one could never relax

sometimes forgetting to dismiss the outside,

ideas of perfection cloud their minds:

what lies inside will never be denied,

and yet they still put on a face that blinds;

unknowingly aware of a proven fact,

 never taking the time to retract.
