In the Beginning

Location

In the beginning,

I ran.

Hard and fast,

Quick and light,

Like lightning.

I took a bus.

Drove away,

From the problems,

Throwing themselves in my face,

Day after day,

Making me suffocate.

Tears like rivers rushing down my face.

Burning eyes,

Turning pink,

Like blood surrounding,

My brown pupils,

Confused.

I spoke,

Working through the mess.

Minute after minute,

Sitting down.

Thinking,

What do I do?

What do I want?

Figuring it all out.

I'm still lost.

Still wondering,

Still wandering,

Through my life.

But now,

I'm not running.

I'm ready.

To turn around,

Facing the monsters,

that continue to chase me,

Even here.
