Because I love you our

Because I love you our relationship is the equivalent to

a sail attached to a mast on its ship.

Going through rough seas,

and often not, a powerful breeze

the sail manages to stay attached

to its everlasting and only partner known as his mast.

My mast is you

and I am the sail the wind has blown through

and together the ship has sailed for over a year

and the future of its travel is very unclear.

With the sail wearing out

yet its mast is still there

the sail has a compulsion to shout

"IT'S JUST NOT FAIR!"

Soon I am being moved onto another ship

and the warmth you gave me on cold nights

oh how I wish I could forever grip.

And with being reassigned to something new

I pray to God every night "how can it be its not with you!"

Because I love you, it makes you my mast,

on a ship being docked oh too fast.

We went through rough seas,

and often not, a powerful breeze

yet the sail managed to stay attached

to its everlasting and only partner know as his mast.

Because I love you,

You have been my Support and always will be

through any ocean

may it be the Atlantic or Pacific sea.
