Because I love you

"Because I love you"... does not mean what you think it does.

For a long time, I thought I knew what it meant, but now I know...

"Because I love you" does not mean that you can take over my life.

"Because I love you" does not mean you can bully me into submission.

What you have done is ruin those four little words,

By using them against me, when I was at my weakest,

And make them into these hideous little goblins.

Only I can fix those words for myself, for my future.

"Because I love you" is supposed to mean that you love me for me.

"Because I love you" is supposed to mean that you will be by my side.

"Because I love you" is supposed to mean so much more than you can imagine.

It means that you care about me,

It means that you will NEVER hurt me.

Above all... it means you love me.
