Be Strong

When I was younger,

My parents divorced.

Cried myself to sleep every night —

I was filled with remorse.

Looking back,

I now realize

That only through  fire

Can the diamond materialize.

So keep your chin up.

Don't ever give up.

Keep fighting for your life,

Get over the strife.

It's all gonna go away some day,

but 'till that day comes, don't you ever dismay.

Just remember that through the hard times,

God uses it to shape your life.
