Purple, surviving and staying alive

Black for the darkness we struggle to fight
Gray for monotonous noise in the night
White for not knowing if there's more to come
Purple for guessing and getting things done

Pink for the petals of roses that fall
Whose thorns weigh us down, but still we stand tall
Purple for royal intentions so true
For a new hope and new skies that are blue

Pink, too, for laughter and knowing for right
Yellow for starshine that lasts through the night
Blue for the victory we will win at last
