The number five is important because our finger and toes wouldn't be the same without the number five. We wouldn’t be able to grab items like we do so now. High fives would become high fours. We would never call our toes “ 10 little piggies” we would call them “8 little piggies”. Without the number five, our mathematics would be completely different. That is why the number five is important.
