The Awesome Mountain

Life is climbing a mountain, and we’re only at the base

Some of us are given ropes and pickets

Others provided with TNT to blow the mountain away

And there are the rare few that by the luck of grace, were given a small mountain,

But for some the struggle becomes overbearing

Our hands get bloodied from clutching the rock base so tightly

Our legs quiver as we attempt to maintain a precarious balance on the ledge

Some of us fall

And if we're blessed, we will survive to climb again

One thing for certain however,

Is that once we reach the peak

Once we see the view from a-top

We realize the hardship was worth it

All the cuts and scrapes and pains we feel seep out of glowing pores

And as we take in the scenes splaying across our eyes

We see the mountain for what it really is:

Awesome
