I'm bout that B, town coming coming down
I'm coming down, drippin' crabs on the ground
On the ground
B, Town, Town, I'm coming down, coming down

I know when I was a little girl
I dreamt of being in the college world
Don't forget it, don't forget it
Respect that, Check my attendence
I took some time for my SAT
But don't think I'm got this little score
Don't get it twisted, get it twisted
This my life, 1570
Fifteen-seventy, fif fifteen-seventy (Crown)
Fifteen-seventy, fif fifteen-seventy (Crown)
B Town vicious
B, B Town vicious
I'm so crown crown, check my attendance

I'm about that B, town, coming coming down
I'm coming down, drippin' crabs on the ground
On the ground

B, B town town
I'm coming down
Coming down
Drippin' crabs on the ground

We teach girls to shrink themselves
To make themselves smaller
We say to girls
"You can have ambition
But not too much
You should aim to be successful
But not too successful
Otherwise you will threaten the man"
Because I am female
I am expected to aspire to marriage
I am expected to make my life choices
Always keeping in mind that
Marriage is the most important
Now marriage can be a source of
Joy and love and mutual support
But why do we teach girls to aspire to marriage
And we don't teach boys the same?
We raise girls to each other as competitors
Not for jobs or for accomplishments
Which I think can be a good thing
But for the attention of men
We teach girls that they cannot be sexual beings
In the way that boys are
Feminist: the person who believes in the social
Political, and economic equality of the sexes

You wake up, awesome
Post up, b-more
Ride round in that cadillac
Flossin on  dem diamonds
This diamond, crystal
My diamond, crystal
This rock, hard
My rock, hard
I study like this
I study like this
We awesome, scholars tell 'em
I study like this
I study like this
We awesome, scholars tell 'em
Say I, Am so smart always
Study, study
Say I, Am so smart always
God damn, God damn

Momma taught me how to read my books
My Daddy taught me how to write my words
My sister taught me I need to speak real kind
My man made me feel so god damn smart

You wake up, awesome
Post up, b-more
Ride round in that cadillac
Flossin on dem diamonds
This diamond, crystal
My diamond, crystal
This rock, hard
My rock, hard
I study like this
I study like this
We awesome, scholars tell 'em
I study like this
I study like this
We awesome, scholars tell 'em
Say I, Am so smart always
God damn, God damn
Say I, Am so smart always
God damn, God damn
