Animal Testing

A bright eyed cat

caught up in wires.

Never sees the sun

Tortured with pliers.

Is anyone listening

Does anyone care

Is animal testing truly fair?

A tiny, white rabbit

Who cannot hop.

Happiness deteriorates

With every drip and drop.

People who understand

Are very rare

Can animal testing ever be fair?

A plush, golden puppy

Playful no more.

Knows only pain

Sees only gore.

This level of abuse

None can bear

Why would animal testing be considered fair?

For every animal

Experimented on

Life is a nightmare

All hope is gone

Fear of mistreatment

Is all that they wear

Animal testing is not fair.
