Angel

My Angel

Oh, How I miss you

My Angel

Oh, How much I loved you

My darling baby girl, My Angel

You made my life so much more eventful

We knew each other for almost 12 years

Years that were filled with both smiles and tears

I loved you and you loved me

Until the day that came, that I didn’t want to foresee

A day where you could no longer be by my side

For you, my best friend, had died

I am missing you

Every day, more and more

Ever since I had to bid you an adieu

There will be nothing more that I could ever adore

You were mine and I was yours

You were always there for me

And I wish I could have found a cure

To help you be free

To help you be free of all the illness

To help you be free of all the pain

And as those tumors grew with quickness

My life began to grow vain

My heart had grown still, as you took your last breath

And as you started to greet death, my shattered heart…

My shattered heart became more fragile

I will never forget your warm amber brown eyes

I will never forget your presence, as you slept by my side

And I don’t think there is anyone else in who I could empathize

You were always the one who in which, I could confide

I loved you and you loved me

Until the day that came that I didn’t want to foresee

A day where you could no longer be my side

For you, my best friend, had died

I am missing you

Every day, more and more

Ever since I had to bid you an adieu

There will be nothing more that I could ever adore

Oh my darling Angel, You watched over me in life

And I know you watch over me from Heaven

But when you left, my heart felt pressed against a knife

But it’s okay, because you will always be my lucky seven

In 2005, at the age of 7, you came into my life

In 2017, at the age of 18, I held you, as you took your final breath

For about 12 years, you were always there

And for the rest of my life, you will always be here

Here in my heart, where we can never be apart

Here in my heart, as you have always been from the start

For you will always be with me

My guardian dog, My Angel, you are finally free
