American Dream

The American dream, to a boy of thirteen seems to be the only way out of the heartache and cloud,

he wants to acheive the visions he sees, tell his story of his way out.

he saves up all that he can to board a boat to the oppportunistic land,

where in his head money, fame, and fortune began

he heads across the sea, not having time to breath, while thinking of all the posibilities.

my family will be proud, ill help them all out,

he believed.

in reality

he couldn't speak, no communication between any man.

he looked at the brown, yellow, red, and pale faces around.

all of a sudden he figured it out.

they were here to find their own chimera.

he took a deep breath and lowered his head,

to get anywhere here you have to be the best,

to a boy of thirteen from over seas,

the American dream means you can never be beat.
