Forget the blood lines that make our trees bright red
Forget the colors that highlight our lively skin
Brothers, sister, mothers and fathers
We are all something bigger, better and stronger
Yet…
Children are fallen from a midnight plight
The street is killing the youth
Nothing has never felt right
Mothers and fathers calling for their daughters or sons
Their eyes look up at the sky and there stands the sun
The youth, they keep on dropping
Just like life, this hate is real
Death don’t care about the color of the skin
That’s why the community is stepping up to the streets,
Begging for more peace
Violence needs to go
Love we need more
I have come to this,
As society, we need to learn changes start from within
U.S is already great, at least that’s what I understand

There’s the poor living day to day
Others dare look at them and avoid their face
Don’t forget hard times do come to some and not to all
If one is blessed to not experience the darkness of life,
We should share goodness to those who fall
The fight with healthcare
What’s the worth for each citizen
The sparing of lives for a cost of a dime
Or get rid of it to keep what’s mine
Selflessness could help us all go a long way
We need to feel more for those, that aren’t as blessed
Maybe some fights would become meaningless
Being selfish needs to go
Altruism we need more

Govern by the people, we make its soul
Violence, poverty, educational issues and all
Can all be stopped, if we look further in ourselves
Because the U.S. foundation is already great
