Aloneliness

There’s a difference between being lonely and being

alone.

Does taking time to be quiet
mean I have a heart of stone?

If I don’t answer your phone call,
Or if I’d rather stay home,
It doesn’t mean I don’t like you.
I just like being

 alone.

The world is messy, tearing our souls from our
selves.
Time spent in aloneliness
Helps to grow and repair.

Am I cold and uncaring?
Do I push others aside?
Sometimes I do, but
it’s for my own peace of mind.

I struggle for balance,
to accept love when it’s shown.
But I have no regrets spending my moments

alone.
