All Mine

I watched shadows dance on the wall last night.
They told me the stories of their every plight.
And I cried, because it reminded me that I was alive;
That when they stopped, I’d have no place to hide.

I watched shadows dance on the wall last night.
The way they gyrated, sashayed and dived.
My breath came panting, frantic, hot;
I was enchanted and afraid, so I asked them to stop.

I watched shadows dance on the wall last night.
I would’ve rather had them scratch, tear, and bite.
They were mocking me, trampling on my mind;
Pornagraphic whispers and disgusting by design.

I watched shadows dance on the wall last night.
I woke up, and realized that they were all mine.
