2000 chances were handed out

in hopes that they would never be used 

the number on the cards and people waiting

for just one call to come in confused

 

2000 pieces of hope were believed in

to each and every person I gave

i had to keep dreaming and reaching

that it will guide someone through haze

 

2000 prayers were called forth and tossed

as I find my cards on the ground

my hopes and dreams lay scattered

by the feet of the newly crowned

 

2000 people I touched on a weekday

some were known, just a for a moment

the egging of others helped me persevere

seeing my despair of lost cards and oppenents

 

2000 people recieved my cards

I begged they all read them well

for they cure the greatest sickness of all

one for depression and suicide hell 

 

1 email came in a few weeks later

by someone I really didnt know

He said that card saved him that day

That he knew he could rise from his low

 

1 life was saved by 2000 hopes

Some people question what it brings forth

To me though I would hand out a billion cards

to show someone what thier life is worth
